General answers about working with our firm. For your specific situation, please speak with a lawyer.

Working with our firm

How do I book a consultation?

Call us at 905-564-8394 or send a request through our contact form. We will get back to you to confirm a time and let you know what to bring.

How are legal fees determined?

Fees depend on the type and complexity of your matter. Many transactional services, such as real estate closings, incorporations, wills and notarizations, can be quoted as a fixed fee plus disbursements and taxes. For other matters we explain how fees will be calculated. Either way, we discuss fees with you before any work begins, so there are no surprises.

What should I bring to my first meeting?

Bring valid government-issued photo identification and any documents related to your matter, such as agreements, letters, court papers or financial statements. Each practice area page includes a checklist, and we will tell you if anything else is needed.

Which areas do you serve?

Our office is in Mississauga, near the Malton area and Toronto Pearson International Airport. We regularly help clients from Mississauga, Brampton, Malton, Toronto and the wider Greater Toronto Area.

Does contacting the firm make me a client?

No. A lawyer-client relationship begins only once we have confirmed there is no conflict of interest and agreed with you on the scope of our services. Until then, please do not send confidential information through our website.

Is what I tell you kept confidential?

Yes. Lawyers in Ontario have a professional duty to keep client information confidential, and communications for the purpose of legal advice are generally protected by solicitor-client privilege.

Why do you ask for identification?

The Law Society of Ontario requires lawyers to identify, and in many cases verify the identity of, their clients. This helps protect clients and prevent fraud.

Can you help me with more than one legal matter?

Often, yes. Because we work across several practice areas, we can help with related needs, for example a real estate purchase together with a new will, or an incorporation along with a shareholder agreement.

Do you offer notary services for walk-in clients?

Please call before visiting so we can confirm availability and what you need to bring. This avoids a wasted trip if a document or identification is missing.

Is the information on this website legal advice?

No. The information on this website is for general information only and is not legal advice. Every situation is different, so please speak with a lawyer about your specific circumstances.
